Terms & Conditions


These terms and conditions apply when you book a room at Halifax Hall, Endcliffe Vale Road, Sheffield, S10 3ER.

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, you should therefore check them each time you make a reservation with Halifax Hall. The terms and conditions which apply to your booking will be those which are in place on the date you make your reservation.

Additional terms apply to when booking through third party booking sites (such as Booking.com, Expedia etc.).

Please note that the hotel is cashless and we only accept payment by card.

Bookings and Cancellations

You must be 18 years old or over to make a reservation.

Full payment for all reservations is taken upon time of booking.  Please note that Halifax Hall does not accept AMEX credit cards. The payment on your bank account will show as “UNICUS Sheffield Limited”.

If for any reason you need to cancel your reservation, you will be entitled to a full refund as long as we have 48 hours’ notice, after this there will be a loss of the first night’s stay. Any bookings on the non-refundable rate plan will not be refunded if cancelled at any time.

We reserve the right to cancel your reservation at any time, with immediate effect by giving you written notice, including email, should you; a) not pay us when required to do so b) you break the contract between us in any other material way.

Room Prices

Halifax Hall works on a dynamic pricing basis, which means that our prices do fluctuate based on demand.  The price that you are quoted is the price that you pay for the room whether this price increases or decreases.

Our room rates are per room per night and are inclusive of VAT at the time of your reservation.

All our room rates include breakfast.

Additional extras such as evening meals, telephone calls are not included in the room rate but you are able to add them to your room for you to pay on check out.

The hotel has a restaurant and we advise that you make a booking if you wish to dine with us. We do not guarantee tables to guests of the hotel and the tables are available on a first come first served basis. Please call the hotel directly to make a dinner reservation.


The maximum room occupancy per room:-

Double Room: Two people (a limited amount of z-beds are available for children under the age of 12 years old.  Z-beds will be charged at £25)

Twin Room: Two adults (a limited amount of z-beds are available for children under the age of 12 years old.  Z-beds will be charged at £25)

Suite: Two adults and either two children under the age of 12 or one person over the age of 12.  The sofa bed will be charged at a rate of £25.

Extra guests in rooms must be booked in advance or we may not be able to accommodate the request. There must be one person aged 18 or over in a room.

Lifts / Accessibility

Please note that Halifax Hall does not have a lift, should you be unable to climb the stairs please let us know in advance so we can allocate you a ground floor room.  Please note that availability of ground floor rooms is limited.

Accessible Bedrooms

We have two accessible rooms, which are on the ground floor, and only one of these rooms is wheelchair accessible. As these are limited, please specify when making your booking should an accessible room be required. You must inform is if you require wheelchair accessibility to ensure we are able to accommodate you.

Car Parking

Upon time of booking you will receive a parking permit which is required to be displayed throughout your stay.  Please note that should you not display the permit you will receive a parking fine which the hotel cannot be held responsible for. The parking is not managed by the hotel.

There are parking permits available at the hotel reception at all times and it is the guest’s responsibility to request this and display this in their car.

Parking is available on a first come first served basis and is not guaranteed.

Meals / Drinks

Breakfast is included in your room rate.  Lunch and evening meals are not included, however these are available within the hotel restaurant.

There is a Nespresso machine in each room, which also dispenses hot water for tea.  Should the drinks machine not be working during your stay please contact our front desk who will bring hot drinks to your room complimentary. Milk and snacks can be located on each guest corridor.

We do not provide bottled water in bedrooms, however should you require water in your room please request this when making your reservation, when you check in or at any point during your stay. Please note that the water from the bathroom sink in the bedrooms is drinking water.

Check in and check out

Guaranteed check- in time is 3pm.  Should you request an early check-in, Halifax Hall will do their best to try to accommodate your request, however, an early check-in cannot be guaranteed.

Check-out time is 11am, if you would like to extend your check-out time you will need to make request with our front desk.  This will be based on hotel availability and will be charged at a rate of £10 per hour until 1pm.  Should you wish to keep your room later than 1pm, you will incur a charge of another night’s stay at the rate which the Hotel are selling on the day.

Lost Property

All lost items recovered from guest rooms and suites will be held by the housekeeping department for 30 days. Lost items will be forwarded on after receipt of payment for postage. For large of high value items the guest will be asked to arrange their own courier service to collect the lost property.

Room Keys

Please keep your room key with you in a safe place at all times, you will need this to access the guest room corridors and your room.  You must also show this on ordering and room charging from the bar.  Please note that you will be charged £5 if you do not return your room key upon check out.


We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure.

Telephone calls and printing

There will be a telephone available in your room, should you wish to make any calls these will be charged at £1.50 per min.

During your stay should you require any photocopying or printing, please contact the Front Desk. There will be a charge for this service.
