Terms & Conditions

Introduction

These terms and conditions apply when you book a room at Halifax Hall, Endcliffe Vale Road, Sheffield, S10 3ER.

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at anytime, you should therefore check them each time you make a reservation with Halifax Hall. The terms and conditions which apply to your booking will be those which are in place on the date you make your reservation.

Additional terms apply to when booking through Online Travel Agents, i.e. Booking.com, Expedia, Laterooms etc.

Bookings and Cancellations

You must be 16 years old or over to make a reservation.

Full payment for all reservations are taken upon time of booking.  Please note that Halifax Hall does not accept AMEX credit cards.

If for any reason you need to cancel your reservation, you will be entitled to a full refund as long as we have 48 hours’ notice, after this there will be a loss of the first night’s stay.

We reserved the right to cancel your reservation at any time, with immediate effect by giving you written notice, including email, should you; a) not pay us when required to do so b) you break the contract between us in any other material way.

Upon making a reservation you will receive an email with your details, please check these details upon receipt. If you think there is an error with your booking please contact our reservations team on stay@halifaxhall.co.uk or call 0114 2228810.

Room Prices

Halifax Hall works on a dynamic pricing basis, which means that our prices do fluctuate based on demand.  The price that you are quoted is the price that you pay for the room whether this price increases or decreases.

Our room rates are per room per night and are inclusive of VAT at the time of your reservation.

All our room rates include breakfast.

Additional extras such as evening meals, telephone calls are not included in the room rate but you are able to add them to your room for you to pay on check out.

Occupancy

The maximum room occupancy per room:-

  • Double Room: Two adults (a limited amount of z-beds are available for children under the age of 12 years old.  Z-beds will be charged at £25)
  • Twin Room: Two adults (a limited amount of z-beds are available for children under the age of 12 years old.  Z-beds will be charged at £25)
  • Suite: Two adults and one small child on a sofa bed.  The sofa bed will be charged at a rate of £25.

Accessible Bedrooms

We have two accessible rooms which are on the ground floor. As these are limited, please specify when making your booking should an accessible room be required.

Lifts / Accessibility

Please note that Halifax Hall does not have a lift, should you be unable to use the stairs please let the reservations team know that you require a ground floor room.  Please note that availability of ground floor rooms are limited and we cannot guarantee one should this be requested.

Meals / Drinks

Breakfast is included in your room rate.  Lunch and evening meals are not included, however these are available within the hotel restaurant. Please note that the hotel does not accept cash payment.

There is a drinks station on each bedroom corridor serving hot beverages, including fresh bean to cup coffee.  Should the drinks machine not be working during your stay please contact our front desk who will bring hot drinks to your room complimentary.

A limited amount of tea trays for your bedroom are available upon request.  Please note that these are limited and there may not be a tray available during your stay.

We do not provide bottled water in bedrooms, however should you require water in your room please request this when making your reservation, when you check in or at any point during your stay.

Telephone calls and printing

There will be a telephone available in your room, should you wish to make any calls these will be charged at £1.50 per min.

During your stay should you require any photocopying or printing, please contact the Front Desk. There will be a charge for this service.

Check in and check out

Guaranteed check- in time is 3pm, should you arrive early and your room is ready we would be happy for you to check in earlier.  Should you request an early check-in, Halifax Hall will do it’s best to try to accommodate your request however an early check-in is not guaranteed.

Check-out time is 11am, if you would like to extend your check-out time you will need to make request with our front desk.  This will be based on hotel availability and will be charged at a rate of £10 per hour until 1pm.  Should you wish to keep your room later than 1pm, you will incur a charge of another night’s stay at the rate which the Hotel are selling on the day.

Car Parking

Upon time of booking you will receive a parking permit which is required to be displayed throughout your stay.  Please note that should you not display the permit you will receive a parking fine which the hotel cannot be held responsible for.

There are parking permits available at the hotel reception at all times.

Lost Property

All lost items recovered from guest rooms and suites will be held by the housekeeping department for 30 days. Lost items will be forwarded on after receipt of payment for postage.

Room Keys

Please keep your room key with you in a safe place at all times, you will need this to access the guest room corridors and your room.  You must also show this on ordering and room charging from the bar.  Please note that you will be charged if you do not return your room key upon check out.

Damage

We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure.
